Preserving your pets skeleton:
Below are general questions about your pet that will help me have a more accurate idea of what your custom skeleton memorial will entail.
To Start:
- Please let me know in your email where you are located, so that I can give you an accurate list of the services I am able to provide.
- Please let me know if you already have a specific idea in mind for your pets skeleton memorial. If you're not sure, that's okay! Let me know if there is something you'd like to learn more about, like articulated paw only option, or full dis-articulated skeleton. There also may be some types of services I am unable to provide for clients a certain distance away from Washington state.
- Are you working on a tight budget? Please let me know, as I am happy to be able to work with you on a individualized payment plan for your pets memorial.
- Please note that most skeleton memorials can take 1-2 years to complete. This is of course a general estimate, as every skeleton and unique memorial will take a different amount of time to complete. I will discuss a more tailored time estimate with you on an individual basis. The time estimate is subject to change. as sometimes some bones in the skeleton take longer to de-grease than others, or if the desired memorial display is particularly complicated. I will keep in contact with you during the time your pet is under my care.
- I am not currently offering full articulations for clients more than one state away from Washington, but I do offer many other skeletal memorial services!
- I unfortunately cannot offer my services to families outside of the United States.
More to include in your email:
- The age of your pet. Age affects skeletons in different ways, and knowing the age of your pet can help me make sure that your pets skeleton is processed correctly from start to finish.
- Has your pet ever experienced an injury, like a broken bone? Please make sure to let me know which bone/s were affected, to the best of your ability. Healed broken bones have a different consistency than an uninjured bone. They sometimes require a more delicate formula/touch, so it's good for me to know in advance.
- Has your pet had any kind of cancer or disease? Sometimes cancer can affect the integrity of the bone, causing brittleness and small extra bone growths. It helps to know in advance so I can make sure to be extra extra gentle throughout the processes.
- Is your pet missing any teeth? If your pet is old and has lost some teeth, there is a good chance the bone on the mandible/maxilla where the roots would be has healed and sealed over.
